7 civil engineers-to-be have worked with the robot, Wall-Y, since the start of the spring term.

"The objective was to construct a robot that can orientate itself with help from the walls, and that can perform certain tasks with its hands. We have solved that and it feels good" says the project leader Johan Larsson.

If the reader thinks that Wall-y's appearance has some similarities to movie company, Pixlar's computer animated robot, Wall-E, they're right.

"Absolutely. We were inspired by it, but we got the 'Y' in the name from the course, which is called Electronic Project Y."
